"วัดพระธรรมกายสอนให้ท่านเป็นคนดีได้อย่างไร"

"How has Wat Phra Dhammakaya taught you to be a good person?"

Wat Phra Dhammakaya, its Abbot, Vice-Abbot and its monk instructors have taught every temple goer to practice the Lord Buddha's Teachings, namely, alms-giving, Precepts observation and meditation practice. The reason is that these three ways of making merit offer untold benefits for the practitioner as well as the society at large. When a person practices generosity by giving alms to such merit-fields as the Buddhist monks who practice righteousness according to the Dhamma-Vinaya, he stands to earn an enormous amount of merit. When he practices generosity on a regular basis, he learns to be a more giving person in every respect. He will be more willing to help out those who are in need whether they are his relatives, friends or complete strangers in the case of disaster victims. A giving person is selfless rather than selfish. When a person observes the Five or higher Precepts daily, he is practicing physical, verbal and mental honesty. Such a person is trustworthy, confident and calm because he has nothing to fear. When a person practices meditation daily, he is training his mind to be increasingly quiet and still.  Such a state of mind has untold power because it allows him to see life and the world as they are in reality. It is the source of true knowledge and wisdom. Most importantly, it is the source of inner peace. Inner peace brings with it true happiness.
Merit is the source of every good thing in life be it material wealth, good health, a high level of intelligence and intellect, etc.

"ความประทับใจที่มีต่อคุณยายอาจารย์"

"My impression of Master Nun Chandra Khonnokyoong"

By the time I arrived at Wat Phra Dhammakaya, Master Nun Chandra Khonnokyoong or most frequently referred to as Khun Yai, has already passed away for about four years. From my earlier post, I already mentioned going to make a food offering at the refectory of Master Nun Chandra Khonnokyoong when I went to Wat Phra Dhammakaya for the first time and how for the first two times in a row, I witnessed what I later discovered to be a miracle meant only for me. Now I believed it to be manifested by Khun Yai's supernormal powers. I have always felt a special closeness to Khun Yai and I have the greatest admiration for her many incomparable virtues. Each time I see the video clip of her cremation ceremony with all of its grandeur and sacredness, my eyes would tear up. Each time I really think about her, I would feel a tingling sensation deep in the pit of my stomach. For not having had any formal education at all, Khun Yai was absolutely brilliant. As far as Vijja Dhammakaya is concerned, she is peerless (according to the Great Master and Discoverer of Vijja Dhammakaya, Luang Pu Wat Paknam). The level of her elevated meditative attainments was such that she could recall her past lives while pulling weeds. She was highly accomplished in all the branches of Super Knowledge which was accessible as a result of her elevated meditative attainments. She has borne witness to the Lord Buddha's attainment of Self-Enlightenment and the fact that the Path and Fruit of Nibbana is just as attainable today as it was during the Lord Buddha's time. In my opinion, she is truly a Super Woman.  She is the founder of Wat Phra Dhammakaya.  She is the master of the Abbot and Vice-Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and the group of pioneering monks as well as the male devotees who lived and worked in Wat Phra Dhammakaya. She has laid down the ground rules for the temple and its members. She wanted her monks to be true monks in that they must practice righteousness according to the Dhamma-Vinaya.  She wanted her monks to pass on the Lord Buddha's Teachings to the laity. She wanted temple-goers to study and practice the Lord Buddha's Teachings. She is the role model of cleanliness, orderliness, politeness, punctuality and concentration. Suffice it to say that in order to describe all of Khun Yai's incomparable virtues, I will have to write a very thick book. I love and adore Khun Yai with all of my heart and all of my soul. I wish most of all to be just like her.

"หลวงพ่อ...ทำให้ชีวิตท่านดีขึ้นอย่างไร"

"How has the Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya helped you to improve your life?"

Before I knew the Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya and his teachings, I used to feel quite lost and unsettled because I really felt that I didn't really know how life worked. I wanted desperately to know the answer and had tried very hard to find it but to no avail. It was through the Abbot that I started to learn about the Lord Buddha's Teachings or the Dhamma and how important it is to practice it in my daily life. The Abbot has given me the key to  my life. Moreover, he has also given me detailed instructions on how to go about living the life that I was born to live. Once I started to put some of the Lord Buddha's Teachings into practice such as giving alms, observing the Five Precepts and practicing meditation on a daily basis, I noticed that I no longer felt lost but I felt that I had at long last found my way. The Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya has a rare gift in teaching the Dhamma and in inspiring his followers to strive to practice more and more of the Lord Buddha's Teachings for their own happiness and success. He has also encouraged his followers to spread success and happiness around by being a virtuous friend to everyone they know. The reason is that the Lord Buddha's Teachings or the Dhamma can benefit everyone regardless of his race or creed. The more earnestly one practices the Lord Buddha's Teachings, the better one's life will be. Head knowledge about the Lord Buddha's Teachings means nothing but practicing them means everything. The Lord Buddha's Teachings are timeless and must be personally experienced.
